Why we vote

Just another……….few reasons why we should vote.

Reason #1:

Last time I checked propaganda was a dirty word used in WWII by the nazi’s to strengthen their filthy cause. Yet it is alive and well flowing through the veins of the MSM. Propaganda being used to tell women that if they don’t vote this election “they are going to loose control of their reproductive lives” http://nwlc.org/womenvote/index.cfm?doc=votereproductive What kind of stupid nonsense is that? (Last time I checked no one in congress was threatening to take the women of this nations ovaries away.) This coming from a website that is suppose to be nonpartisan; as if that word exists in the minds of the MSM and pundits alike. Where are the real facts? This issue isn’t that women will loose their right to have an abortion on demand; the issue is the federal government has no right to tell the state government what to do. Roe v. Wade is an infringement on state rights, plain and simple. Lets give the issue back to the state level and let the PEOPLE decide. See the pundits and the special interests groups say they want people to decide, but that is only if the decision is what they deem right. Its not so much weather you agree or disagree with abortion its more on giving that decision back to you…letting you decide the PEOPLE. (scary concept; to some) Justice White said it best in his dissention against R v W

“The Court, for the most part, sustains this position: during the period prior to the time the fetus becomes viable, the Constitution of the United States values the convenience, whim, or caprice of the putative mother more than the life or potential life of the fetus; the Constitution, therefore, guarantees the right to an abortion as against any state law or policy seeking to protect the fetus from an abortion not prompted by more compelling reasons of the mother.” (http://members.aol.com/abtrbng/410white.htm)

How very sobering.

Reason #2:

Lets be honest the war on terror is a huge factor in this election- And I don’t know about you but I feel more safe with people in office that support our troops, and effort in Iraq, then those who undermine it and speak negatively about it.  How in the world are the Dick D’s, Nancy P’s and Ker-E’s going to keep our country safe? Last time I checked by insulting their intelligence and equating them to nazis doesn’t do much to boost the military’s morale.

Bottom line- Go vote! But in the effort to vote- make an informed decision- research the facts not the fiction. And be encourage in knowing that we still have power in the lever.

Kerry... of course..

Just another.... reason why I am glad I did not vote for John Kerry.

After the recent comments made by the senator from Massachusetts (which have me very perplexed), I thought of some of the people he offended in my personal circle. I myself have never had the privilege of serving our country however I am honored to know a few who did. My stepfather is a retired Air Force Chief Master Sgt, My grandfather was a highly decorated army Sergeant serving in both the Korean and Vietnam War. My husband served 4 years in the Air Force, separated then returned to DOD as a Civilian. Our Neighbor just returned from Iraq and his wife is active duty army-I could go on, but you get the picture… After looking at my long line of military connections I can’t help but wonder maybe I am bias? Maybe I am over reacting to the comment made by Kerry, after all, it was just a harmless joke gone bad, right?  It does seem however that everyone in America is in some way connected to or knows someone who is in the military- be it an aunt, a parent, a child, a friend, a friend of a friend- and so on and so on. How can people not be offended? Offended for those they know, or love? Offended by the lack of compassion and respect that our men and women of the armed forces so rightly DESERVE! Grrrr

So I ask myself- Whom does John Kerry know?
